Hello,
a bit about me:
I am a PhD student in Computer Science at Concordia University, where I focus on improving the performance of Big Data applications, particularly in neuroimaging. Throughout my PhD, I will evaluate the performance of different reduced precision floating point techniques, characterize various numerical schemes where reduced precision is beneficial, and develop a non-invasive tool to automatically use reduced precision in a pipeline. My research aims to facilitate the usage of reduced precision floating points to minimize resource and energy consumption when executing applications.
